Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaning W8
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpetcleaning W8 provides residential and commercial carpet cleaning services. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing access to our team or approved operatives, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before arranging any carpet cleaning service, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, or related work. If any part of these terms is unclear, it is your responsibility to seek clarification before the service begins.
In these terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider operating under the Carpetcleaning W8 name. References to “you” and “your” mean the customer, client, tenant, landlord, agent, or other person requesting the service. These terms apply to all bookings unless we agree otherwise in writing. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer where applicable.
These conditions are intended to be fair, practical, and consistent with UK consumer law. They cover the booking process, pricing, payments, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the law that governs our agreement. Carpet cleaning W8 services may vary depending on the type of textile, level of soiling, property access, and any special treatment requested, so the final service delivered may differ from a general estimate if the condition of the items requires it.
1. Booking Process
Bookings may be made by phone, email, online form, messaging platform, or any other method we make available from time to time. A booking request is not a binding contract until it has been accepted by us. We may request details such as the number of rooms, approximate carpet size, material type, access arrangements, parking availability, and any known staining or damage.
We aim to provide accurate estimates based on the information supplied. However, if the actual condition of the carpets or surrounding area is significantly different from the description given at the time of booking, we may revise the price, change the treatment method, or decline to proceed where the work would be unsafe, ineffective, or outside the scope of the original request. Carpetcleaning W8 reserves the right to refuse or reschedule a booking where necessary.
You must ensure that the person making the booking has authority to do so. Where a tenant, managing agent, or contractor books on behalf of a property owner, that person confirms they have permission to arrange the work and agree to these terms. If keys, entry codes, or access instructions are required, these must be provided in good time. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete access information may result in additional charges or cancellation fees.
2. Appointment Conditions
We will use reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window, but all arrival times are estimates and not guaranteed. Traffic, weather, equipment issues, or previous appointments may cause delays. If we are delayed, we will normally notify you as soon as reasonably possible. You agree to provide a safe working environment, suitable access to water and electricity where needed, and sufficient space to carry out the cleaning.
Before work starts, we may inspect the carpets, rugs, or other items to be cleaned and may identify pre-existing damage, worn fibres, shrinkage risk, colour loss, or other conditions that limit the outcome. Certain stains may be permanent or may lighten only partially. We do not guarantee complete stain removal unless we expressly confirm this in writing. Any pre-treatment or specialised service is subject to material suitability and the condition of the item.
We may take reasonable steps to protect surrounding areas, but you are responsible for removing fragile, valuable, or loose items from the working area before the appointment. This includes ornaments, electronics, confidential materials, breakables, and small furniture where practical. We are not responsible for the relocation of items unless specifically agreed in advance. Carpet cleaning W8 services may involve water, detergents, agitation, and extraction equipment that require preparation and aftercare.
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices are normally quoted based on the information you provide and may be subject to inspection on site. Any estimate given in advance is provided in good faith, but it is not a fixed price unless clearly stated as such. Additional charges may apply for extra rooms, larger areas, heavy staining, difficult access, parking constraints, out-of-hours attendance, or special treatments requested on the day.
Unless we agree otherwise, payment is due immediately upon completion of the service. We may accept bank transfer, card payment, cash, or another method permitted by us. Where an invoice is issued, the due date will be stated on the invoice and must be paid in full by that date. If payment is overdue, we reserve the right to charge reasonable late-payment administration costs and interest where permitted by law.
Any discount, promotion, or special offer applies only where the stated conditions are met and cannot be combined unless we confirm this. Promotional prices may be withdrawn or changed at any time before a booking is accepted. Carpetcleaning W8 is not obliged to honour a quotation if material facts were omitted, misdescribed, or changed before the appointment. All prices are stated inclusive or exclusive of VAT depending on whether VAT is applicable and will be confirmed at the point of booking or invoicing.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule, you should notify us as soon as possible. We may allow changes without charge if sufficient notice is given, but this depends on the appointment schedule and the work reserved for your booking. If you cancel at short notice, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover reserved time, travel, staff allocation, and any preparatory costs.
Where we arrive at the property and are unable to gain access, or where the site is unsafe or materially unsuitable for the work, the appointment may be treated as a cancellation by you. In such cases, a call-out charge or cancellation fee may apply. If you are not present and have not arranged access properly, we are not responsible for missed appointments caused by your failure to prepare the property or provide entry.
We may cancel or reschedule a booking due to illness, equipment failure, severe weather, transport disruption, safety concerns, or any event beyond our reasonable control. If we do so, we will use reasonable efforts to offer an alternative appointment. Our liability in these circumstances is limited to rescheduling or refunding any prepaid amount relating to the affected service, where appropriate and legally required.
5. Liability and Limitations
We carry out services with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, our liability will be handled in accordance with UK law. However, certain outcomes are inherently limited by the condition of the carpet, the age of the fibres, previous treatments, hidden wear, or non-visible contamination. We do not guarantee restoration to a brand-new condition.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, existing odours, concealed defects, colour fastness issues, shrinkage, seam separation, dye transfer, pile distortion, or any deterioration resulting from the inherent nature of the material. Where items are especially delicate, antique, unlabelled, or previously improperly treated, you accept that treatment is undertaken at your own risk unless we have expressly agreed a specific method in writing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising out of a service will be limited to the price paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or the amount recoverable under our insurance, whichever is lower and applicable.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for giving accurate information about the property, contents, carpet type, and any known hazards. You must disclose any prior treatment, water damage, infestation, damp issues, or contamination that may affect the work. If pets are present, you must ensure they are kept safely away from the working area. If the area is occupied, you should minimise foot traffic during and after cleaning until the carpets are dry.
You must also ensure that children, vulnerable persons, and pets are not exposed to detergents, hoses, or equipment while work is in progress. We may decline to continue if conditions become unsafe or if there is a risk of harm. If you request a specific product or method that we consider unsuitable, we may refuse that instruction in order to protect the material or the safety of those present.
It is your responsibility to follow any aftercare instructions we provide. This may include ventilation, drying time, restricted use of the area, and avoiding furniture replacement too soon. We are not liable for marks or damage caused by premature use, re-soiling, or failure to follow reasonable aftercare advice. Carpetcleaning W8 will normally explain any material-specific precautions at the end of the appointment.
7. Waste Regulations and Environmental Handling
We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental requirements. Waste generated during cleaning may include used towels, disposable materials, packaging, protective coverings, and small quantities of contaminated residue. We will handle and dispose of such waste responsibly and in line with applicable regulations. Where waste is classed as controlled, we will take reasonable steps to segregate and manage it appropriately.
You must tell us in advance if the property contains hazardous substances, biological contamination, sharps, excessive mould, sewage residue, or any other material that may require specialist handling. We are not obliged to deal with hazardous waste unless this has been expressly agreed and we are properly equipped and permitted to do so. If we discover unsafe or regulated waste on site, we may suspend or terminate the service and charge for the time already spent.
Any removed items, packaging, or waste left at the property remain your responsibility unless we have expressly agreed to remove them. We may use eco-conscious cleaning methods where practicable, but we do not guarantee any specific environmental outcome. Carpet cleaning W8 services are designed to be efficient and compliant, but waste handling obligations must be shared through accurate disclosure and safe site conditions.
8. Complaints and Remedies
If you believe the service has not been carried out properly, you should notify us within a reasonable time and before making any permanent changes to the treated area. This allows us to assess the issue and, where appropriate, inspect or rectify the matter. We may ask for photographs, a description of the concern, and reasonable access to the affected area.
Where a complaint is justified, we may offer a re-clean, partial refund, or other reasonable remedy at our discretion and in line with your statutory rights. We are not required to provide a remedy where the issue is caused by factors outside our control, by inaccurate information supplied by you, by normal drying or settling, or by conditions present before the service began. Carpet cleaning W8 does not waive any rights by attempting a goodwill resolution.
Any dispute should first be raised with us directly and in good faith. Both parties agree to act reasonably and try to resolve issues without unnecessary escalation. Nothing in this section prevents you from pursuing any rights available under consumer law, but we encourage prompt communication so that concerns can be investigated while the relevant area remains available for review.
9. Governing Law and General Provisions
These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you are a consumer entitled to bring proceedings in another competent UK jurisdiction under applicable law. If any provision of these terms is held unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No waiver by us of any breach or default will be treated as a waiver of any later breach or default. We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal obligations, or service structure. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed otherwise in writing.
By proceeding with a booking for Carpetcleaning W8, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. They are intended to protect both parties, create clear expectations, and support a professional carpet cleaning service carried out with care, transparency, and compliance.
